Cycling Trip/ Short Video Clip

IMG_0388
Just some scenes from Columbus. I have to say the Cycling Trails there are nice. There’s scenery to match. This time the bicycle was on point. A new Genesis 700. It had a longer frame than I’m used to, so there was a little more effort required for turning. It was a hybrid so it was smooth under most of the terrain we crossed. It didn’t feel like it had enough brake power, had to adjust them.IMG_0372

That contraption on the handlebars let’s you know what gear your in. (They could have left that off) High tech, huh ? Never the less it was a nice set of wheels.

My buddy was riding this, of all things a GMC Denali. It’s true that’s the name of the bike. (Too old school for my tastes) With those ram style handlebars. More like a racer, but too heavy.

This park was situated by Blacklick. I Guess it’s a creek, river….Nice. The Park itself is beautiful, with paved bicycle lanes that go on for miles and miles.

Oddly enough there was an older gentleman walking a large Weimaraner(Dog). When he got over to us you couldn’t help but notice the dog had one eye missing. She was permanently blinking. Sorry it wasn’t funny. She was sweet and her coat was beautiful. She just wanted some petting going on.

Speaking of animals, there were all sorts of wildlife that I normally wouldn’t get to see.IMG_0363 This bird along with his family was flying over in attack sequence. This photo was taken at a distance, and zoomed in, so you can imagine the size of this bad boy. His body was probably 2 feet tall. I believe this was a Hawk. They were checking us out. I think we where too close to their nest.

So in all, it was a good get a way, and the weekend came to a close. I can’t seem to find my Hawk video, but when I do I’ll post it to this article. Hope you had as good of a time as I did.  For two old men, we road about 30 miles that day. Nice
