Cool Cars / Summer 2010
These photos were taken all summer, well, late spring and summer. These are just a few shots of the some of the cars I thought were striking. My picture didn’t do this Pontiac any justice. IT WAS NICE ! This Chrysler Aspen had a real wood steering wheel, Sort of gaudy, but nice.
The 72 Chevy Mailbu had a ,396 ci motor. It was clean like new, eh, pristine they say. The rims really laid it out.
When I saw this white Imperial Crown LeBaron it made me think about Uncle Bill. He had one something like this. I think this is a 58.
These people were just showing off. If I had a pristine 50 something Daimler, I would have too. It had that more rounded rear end. At first I thought it was a Bently. The rear end looked more like a Jag. I may be wrong but I’m almost certain it is a Daimler.
I have more in my archives somewhere. In preparing for this post I set everything up, so I could access the pictures out of one folder, but now the rest of the pictures aren’t there. I think I may have to change their format. If I find them, I’ll edit them in at a later date.
It’s getting close to time for most collectors in this area to garage their Vintage cars, so we probably wont see too many more until next Spring.
This was the first CTS coupe
I got to see after it rolled off the Car carrier truck.
I guessed the year of this vette to be a 72. I was wrong, it's a 69.

What a Harvest/ Gardening Wrap-up
Well this season was sort of disappointing as far as the harvest goes. These pictures do my garden justice. The green peppers, and tomatoes were really small. They look large in these pictures. That pepper is about the size of four walnuts put together. The tomatoes are pretty small too. I’m going to leave them alone and see what happens. As hot as it was during this season, I’m baffled. Both plants love heat and water, they got plenty. They were in a place where they could get ample sunlight, and shade. I’ve gotten better harvest during cooler summers..
The squash and the cucumbers are done, worst year ever for them. The watermelon has started to migrate around the corner with a whole new batch of little melons. This is pretty much what the first set did below.
Needless to say I was not happy, although there’s still hope because the watermelon plant looks healthier than ever. It’s just a whole lot cooler now. I thought they loved the heat ? If I hadn’t been tending to the garden as much as I did, I would not have met Feral King of the Grass.
I hope you enjoyed this series, as much as I did. I got Three squash, two cucumbers, five tomatoes (tiny), a bunch of very tiny watermelons, and two green peppers (almost not worth mentioning). At least I could eat the squash and the cucumbers. There’s always next year. Speaking of next year, I think I’m going to try a different location in the yard

GrandParents Day
Hello. I know this picture has been a little bit of everywhere. And no Grandaddy didn't have a scar on his chin. This is the only picture I have of William D. and Rosa Etta Tyree together. Just remember GrandParents day is Sunday, September 12, 2010. I touched this picture up a bit, em best as I could. What year would this picture have been taken in ? 40's, 50's, Does any one know ?
Look at all the resemblance ! Who looks like who? In the family.
Waterfront Air Show 2010
It was a really loud and spectacular show, amid a backdrop of the Rock Hall of Fame, The Great Lakes Science Center, and Cleveland Browns Stadium, as well as The port of Cleveland.
You can see why America is known for it's military might after seeing these aircraft. Hope you enjoy this. Here's a couple of short clips from the show.

Hurricane Earl
Greetings Family. It’s incredible that I haven’t tracked a storm in a while, but Earl has become the latest threat with family members in his path. Well, he missed Bermuda (I know because I spoke to our kin there), but is now headed up the East Coast towards New England with category 3 winds, and lots of rain. He started off as a Tropical Storm, behind the more benign Danielle, and in front of another storm named Fiona. He’s our guy so far this season. There’s a cold front headed east northeast that should push Earl out into the Atlantic where he will hopefully fizzle. Earl is a pretty interesting Character 150 miles wide. Hopefully he won’t do too much damage. The map you see came from The Plain Dealer.

Tall Ships Festival- July 2010
This was when the Tall Ships visited the Waterfront Harbor (Lake Erie) in early July. It was really hot that day, and I was disappointed that the price of the show $12, and a glass of (fresh squeezed) Lemonade was $6. There was some cool stuff there though. So we went in anyway. The guy in the picture looked allot like the real captain in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ as well as the rest of the characters. That girl second from the right was just a poser.
You get a picture of how crowded and congested it was, so I didn’t try to get real close to the ships. Oh , this old Eldorado, below was deemed the best Yacht there. As you can see my friend was matching the car.
If you like the Tall Ships you can visit the website to see all the ships histories as well as more info, here: http://Clevelandtallships.com
